Born on 21 May 1990 in Saint-Marc, Ricardo Adé has become the Grenadiers' last line of defence. Standing 1.90 m, the centre-back left Baltimore SC and Don Bosco FC of Pétion-Ville to build, far from home, one of the finest careers in Haitian football.

“The Rock” of South America

After a spell in Chile, it was in Ecuador that Adé stepped up. Champion and player of the season with Aucas in 2022, he then became, with LDU Quito, the first Haitian to win the Copa Sudamericana. A three-time LigaPro defender of the year, he is nicknamed “the Rock”.

A national-team fixture since 2016 with 50+ caps, he has worn the armband at times. At 35, an adductor injury picked up just before the tournament has worried fans: the defensive boss remains central to Haiti's plan against Brazil, Morocco and Scotland.
